Hey Reader, Before I close my laptop for the day, I wanted to share one of the most important rhythms for creating an ecological business that doesn’t burn you out. It's Money Monday! Otherwise known as my Office Day. It’s the day I work ON the business, not in the field for clients. I know the client-work is how you earn the money, but.. how do you organize and set up the client work? One day a week, I don’t schedule client meetings, field work or what we call "deliverables." Instead, I focus on my business and all it needs to be carried well, so it can carry me. When you skip this, the admin work grows like an “invasive” species, invoices go unsent, brilliant ideas sit on the sidelines, and you're caught in constant client churn without ever stopping to catch your breath and remember why you’ve dedicated your career to the Earth. I know you’d rather have your hands in the soil than work on a spreadsheet. But your Office Day is an opportunity to do all the behind-the-scenes work that nourishes everything else. It’s the day you make sure you’re getting paid and staying sane. It's the SOIL of your business. Every Monday I have a bunch of emails from clients who were outside over the weekend and realized they need something from me, haha. And I often have projects from the week before that I forgot to invoice! At this stage of my business, I also have a meeting with my local leadership team to review our Leads + Project Tracker (a template you will get in the Collective), which always results in a task list for each of us, haha. I used to shove these things into nights and weekends, and if that's where you're starting out, that's ok! I did that for years! But I wish I had claimed an office day sooner in my entrepreneurial journey. It's made all the difference. With relationships at the center of land-based businesses that are ethical, grounded in reciprocal relationship with Nature, your Place, and your community, this day allows you to ensure you maintain the capacity you need to show up for your clients. Inside the EarthCare Professionals Collective, I’m giving you the tools I’ve spend 10+ years perfecting to help you save time by not building everything from scratch. These tools are built specifically for a regenerative landscaping business, but any ecological practitioner can edit them to your unique offerings:
Templates are tools, but the Gathering Opportunities included within the Collective is where the real transformation takes place. We aren’t meant to do this work in isolation, so I'm also offering:
I’m so grateful for those of you who have reached out and are interested in joining us. If you haven’t asked to join yet and want to be part of the first cohort, please reply to this email. I just ask that you read this document about the Collective first. Stay wild, Kendra P.S. Does "Money Monday" make you feel motivated? Do you have an office day? If so, I’d love to hear about it! Which day is it? What resource would make it easier for you? Know someone perfect to join us? Please forward this to them, or introduce me directly :) Kendra Marie Hoffman CEO of LadyBug EarthCare

I went to Hawaii to live out a dream, but instead, I became an internet scammer. Yes, once upon a time, I actually scammed my friends (and I wish that was an April Fool's joke). How did I get there? Back in 2014, I was studying “mindset work,” reading a book called Busting Loose from...
Did someone forward you this email? Subscribe here. Happy Spring Reader! It is finally here, in Pennsylvania (the midAtlantic) and I’m really feelin’ it for the first time in years. I’ll share more about that soon, as the last few winter emails were quite reflective on all that already haha. Today I’m in your inbox for a quick PSA: don’t rush into spring cleanup just yet! I know it feels warm and amazing right now, and you might have the urge to get outside and "tidy" up, but a cold snap is...
Did someone forward you this email? Subscribe here. The Spring equinox is this weekend (March 20)! This time of year I try to spend some quality time in Nature, reflecting on the past season. Winter was intense this year… In fact, if you’ve been reading my newsletters for a while, you might already know that I’ve been in a long “wintering” (as author Katherine May calls it) for several years now. But I think it’s just beginning to thaw, and that a new level of “spring” hope and beauty is...
